What I Learned From My Yellow Sweater

What I Learned From My Yellow Sweater.

This is the time when we in the north east wonder if the gray sky will ever turn blue.  Yesterday a ray of sunlight managed to throw itself onto the bedroom floor. I looked around to see what light I left on. I had forgotten what sunshine looked like.

Join me as I strike back at the gray sky. FIGHT GLOOM !  Go to your closet and find your brightest clothes. Put them on even if you have to layer a thermal shirt on under your Hawaiian shirt. Wear YELLOW or ORANGE or RED or SKY BLUE.

At least put on your brightest socks. Bright underpants don’t count.  Only wear something the sun can see. If enough people wear bright colors we’ll make the sun jealous and he’ll have to come and out shine  us.
Another way to fight back is to wear as many different colors as possible. Put on ROY G BIV.  Then the sun will think you’re a rainbow and he’ll have to come out and see what’s up.

If we walked down the street eating an ice cream cone and wearing our bathing suits the sun would think he was late to the party.  He’d say, “Look at that. Summer started without me. I better come out and catch up.”
And if you caught pneumonia you could lay around at home and watch Blue Hawaii or some other surfer movie be some place warm and sunny a couple hours at least.

Yesterday I wore my yellow sweater. Tomorrow I’ll wear my orange one. When I wear them I’m saying, “LOOK DOWN HERE SUN!  COME AND SHINE WITH ME!”

We should all smile a lot. Our beautiful smiles will bring sunshine where ever we go while we wait for the sun to catch up.
